FAA Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF)
This qualification is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.
This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).
Course Cost
This course costs £70 inc VAT per person attending.
FREE for anyone volunteering with the NHS.
VSF Learning Academy - There is the possibility of some funding, subject to availability for VCSE employees and volunteers that live and work in Cornwall through the VSF Learning Academy.

Who would benefit from this course?
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and having an understanding of the issues and processes is essential for anyone, regardless of role or status as paid employee or volunteer. No formal qualifications are necessary but a reasonable standard of English will be expected.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded an Ofqual national Level 3 Award in England.
